Aditi Deal | Associate

Prior to joining the firm, Aditi graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and began a career as a high-school and middle-school teacher in the Houston area. In 2021, Aditi graduated from the University of Houston Law Center magna cum laude, where she was a Community Outreach Editor for the Houston Law Review, a member of the Mock Trial Team, and member of the Order of the Barons Honor Society.  During law school, Aditi was also a judicial intern for the Honorable David Hittner.

After law school, Aditi practiced commercial litigation at Locke Lord LLP. While there, Aditi worked on commercial cases at the state and federal level in Texas, Maryland, and Louisiana, and briefed appeals to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland, and numerous intermediate appellate courts.

Aditi currently serves as a Co-Chair for the Houston Bar Association’s CLE Committee, as well as a co-chair for the Houston Young Lawyers’ Association’s Community Outreach Committee. Aditi is a past board member for the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association.

Aditi is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

    DP&S would like to congratulate Aditi Deal, whose 2020 law review article, “When Less Is More: A New Formula for Avoiding Equally Divided Decisions in the Supreme Court,” was cited by South Texas College of Law’s Constitutional Law professor, Josh Blackman, in his article “Making Sense of the 7-1-1-8 Split in Environment Texas Citizen Lobby v. ExxonMobile” in the online publication Reason Magazine.
