Lauren Harbour, Of Counsel

Biography

Lauren Harbour joined DPS in 2021 as Of Counsel, bringing more than ten years experience in trial and appellate matters.

Ms. Harbour had the privilege of serving as a briefing attorney for the Honorable David M. Medina on the Texas Supreme Court during the 2009-2010 term.  Following her clerkship year, Ms. Harbour joined Winstead PC focusing on general commercial litigation, appellate, and insurance related disputes.  Since 2017, Ms. Harbour brought her experienced trial and appellate brief writing skills to a number of Houston law firms.

Ms. Harbour graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2009.  While in law school, Ms. Harbour was an Assistant Articles Editor on the South Texas Law Review and a decorated member of the South Texas Varsity Moot Court team.  She received numerous best brief and best orator awards at competitions across the country.  Ms. Harbour was also named “Outstanding Student of the Year” in 2009 by the National Association of Women Lawyers.

In addition to her practice, Ms. Harbour was elected to the Board of Directors for the Houston Young Lawyers’ Association, is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers’ Foundation, and serves on the Pro Bono committee for Houston Bar Association’s Appellate section.  Ms. Harbour was nominated for Texas Monthly’s Rising Stars from 2017-2019.

Ms. Harbour is licensed to practice law in all Texas state courts, all Texas federal district courts, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
