Congratulations to DP&S associate, Lana Beverly, who along with trial counsel Steve Laird and Seth McCloskey, successfully defeated State Farm’s mandamus petition in the Fort Worth Court of Appeals. Lana convinced the court of appeals that the trial court was correct when it allowed discovery to be conducted regarding State Farm’s claims-handling process and procedures related to its uninsured/underinsured Motorist coverage and was not prohibited by the Texas Supreme Court’s opinion in Brainard.
